Clarion Hotel and Conference Center is seeking a PT Banquet Housemen that has previous experience setting up multiple banquets and conferences.

The Banquet Houseman is responsible for set-up, refresh, tear down and maintenance of all the function space where meetings and other events take place.  Clean and maintain banquet functions, set-up meeting space according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO) to ensure client needs are met and all our events including meetings and conferences are successful. 

 

Skills and Specifications:

  • Excellent inter-personal/communication and customer service skills.
  • Must follow Banquet Event Order with strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to multi task and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of various types of room set-ups for meetings and banquets
  • Must be able to handle client requests in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Ability to professionally represent the hotel and deal with clients positively.
  • Ability to exert physical effort to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 25 lbs. constantly, up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below knees, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, pull, push, and climb.
  • Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
  • Must be willing to work flexible AM and PM shifts including nights, weekday, weekends and holidays.

Education and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Pevious experience in set-up and breakdown of banquets or other formal food and beverage service preferred.
